Search indexing and other risks to a solid state drive (SSD)

I have just replaced an SSD drive after only 4 months.

It was covered by a warranty, but the retailer lists these 3 ways to avoid risks to the solid state drives

Auto defrag should be OFF
Search Indexing should be OFF
Page file should be OFF

Thoughts?

Thank You

Answer

Auto defragmenting is turned off by Windows 7 when it detects a SSD.

I would recommend turning off Indexing for the SSD.

I have 8GB of RAM. I set my page file to 1024MB on the SSD. It rarely gets used.
