MicroTek Scanmaker 4800 compatability fix for Windows 7

I have a MicroTek Scanmaker 4800 that has given me great results for years.  My old desktop Sony with the XP OS died and I now have a Toshiba Satellite L755-S5248 with Windows 7 Home Premium OS.  I cannot load the Scanmaker CD software on the Toshiba and get the scanner to work.  MicroTek does not show any Windows 7 drivers for the Scanmaker 4800.  How can I work around this and keep using my preferred scanner?

Answer
If your Windows 7 Home Premium is the 32-bit version (How to tell whether I have 32 or 64 bit) Microtek says that their XP driver will work for that scanner and gives instructions on how to install it in Windows 7 at:  http://support.microtek.com/knowledgebase_1/kbdtl.php?request=KB-00106SW&vw=0.
