In Windows 7 media player DVD decoder is automatically installed
To install DVD Decoder
1.
Download the PlugIns from the given link
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/plugins.aspx
You may also use your favorite search engine to download any third party decoder and install it.
Note: Using Third Party Software, including hardware drivers can cause serious
problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the use of Third Party Software can be solved. Using Third Party Software is at your own risk.
2.
Find a folder to save the package. And then install MPEG2 Decoder and Streaming PlugIn for WMP.
3.
After installation, insert the DVD and use Windows Media Player to play it.
