hp laserjet 1300 prints light grey. How do I get it to print darker black

I am using Windows 7  on a Toshiba, and printing with HP LaserJet 1300. Text comes out very light black, almost gray. How  do I get the printer to print the text in a heavier, black color? When I use my Vaio, the printed text comes out dark black and very easy to read! How do I get the printer to give me the same quality when I use my Toshiba as when I use my Vaio?

Answer

Hi,

I suggest you to try the following methods and check if it helps.

Method 1:

Run the printer troubleshooter and check if it helps.

Open the Printer troubleshooter: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Printer-troubleshooter

Method 2:

Check the settings of the printer in the user manual from Hp and check if it helps.

Hope it helps!
