Rise of Nations Thrones and Patriots - Update "Error", Unable to Find Patch

As the title says, I have installed RoN T&P, and I am unable to patch it to the latest version, which would allow me to play multiplayer. Whenever I click the "Check for Updates" button, it says "Error" and then "Unable to find Patch". How can I fix this?

Hi,

 

Step 1: Check if any updates are pending to install:

 

Install Windows updates in Windows 7

Step 2:  Try to install those patches in Safe mode with networking:

 

Start your computer in safe mode

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

 

Note:  Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs don't run in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed
