I have Windows 7 64 bit with DirectX 11 but game states Enhanced for DirectX 9.0c

Hello,

I am getting an error message after I install a Games for Windows Air Conflicts Secret Wars.  It states I am missing a d3dx9_43.dll file.  The game packaging has this statement 'Enhanced for DirectX 9.0c'.

I have found several references to this issue.  One of the solution is to go to this web link:

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=35

Will this downgrade my DirectX 11 to DirectX 9.0c.  How difficult is this and I am concern this may cause other issues with my system?

Answer
Hi,

D3dx9_43.dll issues are caused in one way or another by an issue with Microsoft DirectX. The d3dx9_43.dll file is one of many files contained in the DirectX software collection. Since DirectX is utilized by most Windows based games and advanced graphics programs, d3dx9_43.dll errors usually show up only when using these programs.

Follow the suggestions and check if this helps.
