Runtime Error - Abnormal program termination

I'm receiving a runtime error message showing abnormal program termination. I am using Windows 7 32-bit. The program is Corel's Quattro Pro. It was working fine yesterday, bur after booting the computer this morning, the error message appeared when I tried to open the program.

Follow the below steps to resolve the issue successfully:

1. Click “Start” and type “regedit” and hit Enter.

2. Locate the following string:

HKEY_CURRENT_USERS\Software\Corel\User\Assistant\13\Recent Work\Quattro Pro\

3. Right click the Quattro Pro folder, and delete.

5. Close the Registry Editor.

6. Launch Quattro Pro.

a. Are you able to run the program?
b. Do you get any error codes whatsoever?
c. Have you made any changes to the computer recently?

You may also try repairing the program. You can use Programs and Features to change a program's configuration by adding or removing certain options.

This whole thing does not work for me at all. Everything is different. I have Windows 7.

I tried this, and it worked only once. Next time, same old problem. Any ideas on how to make it permanent? Using windows 8.
