Why is it so....???

Answer
Answer
If you customize folders with different properties that deviate from the default (such as icon, thumbnail image, or infotip display), then Windows remembers such customized settings by saving into desktop.ini file. Normally (by default) this file is out of sight as it is hidden; if you see it, it means you have enabled the "Show hidden files and folders" setting for Windows Explorer. To keep desktop.ini files out of sight, start Windows Explorer, then Tools menu > Folder Options > View tab > select Do not show hidden files and folders. Hope this helps.
