ADD: Emptying Recycle Bin - Right mouse button Feature

Emptying Recycle Bin

Please put the ability to Empty the Recycle Bin in the Mouse controls (i.e. Right click on mouse button, empty recycle bin).
Is it that difficult to do?

Mouse's Default Right click features:
1. Arrange Icons
2. Refresh
3. Paste
4. Paste Shortcut
5. Empty Recycle Bin <------- ADD THAT FEATURE HERE!!!!
6. New
7. Properties

I had a "program" that allowed me to do that but it does NOT work in Win7!!!

Again, Is it that difficult to do?

Thank you!

Answer

Hello MrMojo1,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers Community.

Editing the registry is not something that I would recommend doing.

Before you begin, create a restore point.

That said, to add the Empty Recycle Bin to the context menu for the desktop as well as your other folders:

Navigate: [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shell]

Create new key named “empty”

Create new string values for each of the following:

·         "CommandStateHandler"="{c9298eef-69dd-4cdd-b153-bdbc38486781}"

·         "Description"="@shell32.dll,-31332"

·         "Icon"="shell32.dll,-254"

·         "MUIVerb"="@shell32.dll,-10564"

Create new key named “command” under empty

Create new string value for the following:

"DelegateExecute"="{48527bb3-e8de-450b-8910-8c4099cb8624}"

Hope this helps

Modifying REGISTRY settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring of REGISTRY settings can be solved. Modifications of these settings are at your own risk.
