Can't Upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 in VirtualBox OS X Host

I am trying to upgrade from Windows 7 32 bit to Windows 10 32 bit in VirtualBox 5 on Macbook Pro, using ISO downloaded form MS site. Have 4GB memory allocated.

Everything goes fine, till I have to reboot, when all I see is the Windows 10 Logo. On restarting the machine, I get the error below.

I get an error message of 0xC1900101-0x20017 saying

"The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation"

Tried all solutions available on the web, same result. At my wits end as to what is wrong.

Thanks a lot!

Upgrading on Virtualbox 4.3 from W7 to W10 - I only had to change this :

In the System Tab - Motherboard - Extended Features - Check "Enable I/O APIC" - this was originally unchecked.

Then it worked.
