Windows 10 update failed, Error code: 0xc1900107.

Original title: Windows 10 update from Microsoft

I have a laptop of purchased last year with Windows 10 installed.  Recently received an update message from Microsoft to update.  When I attempted to update several different times I got an error message 0xc1900107.  Not sure what is causing this error and why the update will not download.  Any help would be appreciated.

I realize that you are facing the issue with the Windows update, let me assist you.

This issue might happen if there are any pending updates in the Windows or if some system files might got corrupted.     

To assist you better, kindly write back to us with the following.

  • Is there any pending updates in the system?

  • What is the make and model of your laptop?

I suggest you to run the Windows Update troubleshooter and check if it helps.

  • Type Troubleshooting in the search and select Troubleshooting.

  • Click on View all option in the left pane.

  • Find and click on the Windows update troubleshooter.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions.

If the issue is unresolved, check and install all the pending updates (if any), try updating the windows and check if the issue is resolved.

Follow the steps below to check for the pending updates.

  • Press Windows key + I key and click on Update & security Windows Update.

  • Click on Check for updates.

  • Install the pending updates (if any).
