PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA applecharger.sys

Hello,

I am encountering some serious problems with PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA applecharger.sys

This only started upon my recent update to Windows 10 and I have never had an issue like this before at all, only beginning when I wanted to shut down after the successful installation of my Windows 10 today.

Now I have gone through a million forums for advice and my current troubleshooting has got me no-where.  This is what I have done so far:

-Updated my BIOS for my motherboard

-found that ON_OFF causes a lot of issues and unistalling seems to fix this issue, but upon successfully uninstalling it, nothing, still happening.

-Completely removed all files that I can regarding ON_OFF and applecharger.

However I still have a AppleCharger.sys file in my C drive and everytime I try to delete it I get the message that I can't saying the program is being used.

Help would be greatly appreciated, this is becoming incredibly frustrating.

Regards

John

We do need the actual log files (called a DMP files) as they contain the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

Please follow our instructions for finding and uploading the files we need to help you fix your computer. They can be found here
If you have any questions about the procedure please ask

To remove applecharger boot into safe mode delete it then reboot normally.

To boot into safe mode type msconfig in run.  Go to boot tab>check safe mode

I have the same problem. I uploaded 2 dump files to my OneDrive account. Here is a link to it.

I just installed Win10 and now I cannot shut down my computer. It hits the AppleCharger.sys page fault error and then promptly restarts. It starts just fine, but the error reoccurs every time I try to shut down.

Any thoughts?

Thank you.

Was able to force the safe boot finally, and with the removal of the applecharger.sys the issue seems to have been resolved.  i will send through my DMP files later, as it might help you guys in identifying this issue to help prevent it for other people in the future.

thank you for your help, its is greatly appreciated.

John

I suspect you do not have search, searching in all files and folders.  You need to add additional locations in control panel indexing, etc  (see snip)

Applecharger is probably in c:\windows\system32 as it is a 32bit driver.

Its not in that folder,I already looked and ive just checked again.ATM its running a complete PC search.
I think i might just revert back to windows 7>The Microsoft Answer desk were supposed to have called me 2 hours ago and they havnt.
Besides this problem my cd/dvd drive is not being recognised or showing up in device manager and the driver will not install for the microsoft usb host controller simulator either.
I should have known better than to update this soon.
