How to fix Error 1719 using W10

How do I fix error 1719, "Windows installer could not be accessed"  using Windows 10.  I tried to uninstall flight Simulator X in safe mode and that didn't work.  The error screen was hidden by the uninstall screen before I discovered the error number.  I tried unregistering and reregistering as discussed for W7 but got the message that the command was not recognized.  How do I fix the error in W10?

I suggest you to perform the below steps and check if it helps.

I request you to follow the steps below:

  1. Press "Windows" + "X" and select "Run".
  2. Type "services.msc" and press Enter.
  3. Check the status of Windows Installer.
  4. If it is running, right click on it and select "stop".
  5. After you stop it, right click again and select "start".
  6. Now try to uninstall the software.
