Windows 10 error 2343

ErnieCiarrocchi asked on

I just upgraded to Windows 10.  I am getting a code 2343 while trying to uninstall iCloud for Windows.  The "Mr. Fixit" page reports that it doesn't work with "my operating system."  My iCloud calendars are gone from Outlook (Office 365) and I was trying to uninstall iCloud and reinstall it hoping to cure the problem.

Email works fine in both Outlook and the Mail app.

I am getting Error Code 2343 whenever I try to install upgrade packages from Apple. I tried the Repair option, same error. I also tried a fresh install by downloading the installation package from Apple, but the process stalled and resulted in the same error code 2343.

I downloaded Microsoft Fixit and told it the program would not uninstall.  Fixit got rid of it and then I was able to re-install it.

Unfortunately, fixit does not run on Windows 10.

Odd as I am running Windows 10.  I used the link on this page:

Oh - wow, thanks a lot - couldn't find that anywhere!

I'd been trying:

but kept getting

However, your link works - thanks again.

I've been running into the same iCloud error and unfortunately the link provided by PZimmer has apparently been taken down. If someone has a workaround or the manual steps that FixIt would have run, I would appreciate it.

Microsoft have a support web site called Fix It Center.  It was able to uninstall Icloud, or any other progamm.  It took a while, and i had to cancel the process. But Icloud was gone, and I could install the latest version of Icloud. https://support2.microsoft.com/fixit/fr

I had this error too, and what solved it for me was using the "repair" option on the iCloud uninstaller, let it do its thing, and then have a go at the uninstall ("remove" option). Hope this helps some people.

I installed the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility 7.2 from http://www.techspot.com/downloads/388-windows-installer-cleanup-utility.html in Windows 10.  Ran the program.  Went down the list of installed programs until I found iCloud and removed it that way.  Afterwards I rebooted and reinstalled iCloud Control Panel.

That's what worked for me.  Hopefully this helps.  I tried all the other suggestions that were listed here and they did not work for me.
