I am using Microsoft Office Outlook as my email provider and my emails are stuck in the outbox and will not be sent.

Hi skmanishin

I also have the same problem. I'm by no means technical - is it safe to run sfc.EXE? and how do you run it?

You mention you did scan now in dos prompt - how do you find dos prompt?

Many thanks

Will

Type CMD in search windows when it shows search results, just select first
CMD then right click on it and select run as administrator. It will ask for
confirmation then just confirm that. It will take you to dos prompt from there you type sfc /scannow
Hope it will solve said problem. THANKS

Manish - many thanks for your reply. My problem ended up being a little deep rooted, but I'm pleased to report that I received first class service from Microsoft support and they have now resolved my issues.

I ran sfc /scannow several times and each time showed no errors.  But outlook still will not send.  Do you have any other solutions to try?  I am using Windows 10 on a MS Surface Pro.

I have a very similar problem. I have two user accounts (my wife's and mine) on a Surface Pro 3. She has email address, I have two. All worked fine on 8.1. Upgrading to windows 10 broke the email; initially my email worked but my wife's did not, either using the mail app or outlook. The email accounts were working fine on two other windows 7 laptops and a windows 7 pc. I spoke to surface support and ran through all sorts of checks (sfc etc etc); at the end of it all, the person I was speaking to, who was very helpful, said windows 10 is buggy, revert to 8.1 and wait for 10 to be updated before upgrading. I did that with a complete clean install of 8.1 and all was fine again (in 8.1). I have now upgraded to windows 10 again as I understood a lot of bugs have been fixed. I should not have done so as, though my email works fine on the Surface, my wife's does not. She can read her mail but not send it from the surface. The settings are correct. She has been added as a family user. All three email accounts (my two and hers) are imap accounts. Is anyone else  having these problems? I don't want to have to go through the business of reinstalling 8.1 again. Any suggestions, other than taking a hammer to the machine, would be very welcome.

After a long session with MS support they recommended  upgrading MS Office with the latest Outlook. Of course Office is now available by subscription only.  Silly me I took out the subscription but it did solve the problem.

The cynic in me thinks that the initial Outlook problem  is a deliberate ploy by MS to increase subscriptions to Office.

I will cancel my MS Office subscription after 1st year and find another mail reader app.

After spending 30 minutes online with a MS tech, with no luck solving the issue except for them to offer me a subscribed service for $149.00, I went to my local Best Buy Geek and explained that after I installed Windows 10, my Office Outlook (2013) quit.

Best Buy suggested that since I subscribe to 365, I should download the latest version, and install it.

Eureka! It worked, and it was FREE!

Thank you Best Buy.
