WNT_6.2H_64; AsusSetup does not support this Operation system

I did install Windows 10 64 bit system.

As Win 10 informs me: AsusSetup does not support this operation system with information:

WNT_6.2H_64.

I do not know, which unit / hardware / software this belong to?

So I could change/ repair it, either hardware/ software? Asus seems not to repair it, my motherboard is 6 year old

Will some one detail me, where this fault is addressing to?

These are the chipset drivers for the ASUS motherboard.  Is Windows update trying to install this?

Is the computer working OK?  USB ports operating OK?

If you need to install the drivers, I suggest that you visit the ASUS support site and download the latest chipset drivers

I'm having the same issue and my PCBA is probably 4 years old.  I've searched the web but have not had success in finding a solution.  Everything works as before but this did start with Windows 10 and when going to the task manager I'm finding AsusSetup but no numbers behind it.  I fear deleting/changing anything for obvious reasons.

I have Asus update installed and just checked again to see if there were any updates.

So, for me, the problem is annoying but not impacting what I do.  Perhaps, a check to the Asus website with my PCBA model number in hand can lead to some solution but I'd love to hear of another solution.

If everything is working OK and this is just an annoyance, temporarily disable the ASUS software from starting while you chase this up with ASUS

  1. Log on to the computer with an Admin account
  2. Click Start, type msconfig, click System configuration (desktop app)
  3. On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, click Open Task Manager.
  4. On the Startup tab in Task Manager, locate the ASUS software you want to suppress, then click Disable
  5. Close Task Manager.
  6. On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, click OK, and then restart the computer.

Hei,

1.

I know; they are Asus motherboad (M4A79T Deluxe) chipset drivers, as I am having them as four times (must close four small comment windows)

2.

Windows is not trying to install "this", any new driver, or anything, but inform with four similar comments as per my title (AsusSetup: Does not support this Operation System: WNT_6.2H_64.

3.

Computer is working ok.

4.

USB ports are working ok.

(As I asked, were the code is referring to??? i.e. USB ports??). So, is it a fault of Windows 10, not AsusSetup, as I presume, Windows 10 is using as well previously working .ini files (asussetup.ini?), but in this case, Windows 10 wants to "complain", even it "works". No harm, only four small notes annoy me, how to stop them?

5.

For information:

Asus does not, presumably, even will not date 5-6 years old motherboards, even latest bios 3505 is from year 2012. 01.31.

Also, I have let (done) Windows 10 to check and date all drivers as per Windows 10, all ok, drivers works as per Windows 10, but, but

comment(s) (4) remain and you have delete them of, before you are able to use Windows.

So???? More information from Microsoft? as I see, it is Windows 10 fault

response to Mogojohn on September 3

Items from 1 to 6 are ok, but, but...

as you have red, Windows 10 is installed and what to do is not as you say (i.e. Windows 7 system).

Also, even so, after a msconfic and.. and...and  after a Task Manager, I cannot locate ASUS software

Is it possible, you advice as per Windows 10, so I am more able to locate ASUS software,

as I do have also a Finnish language, I need to translate as well (correctly) little funny translations.

Thank you, now I have tried to locate ASUS some hours, could not succeed with it

greetings

Moi,

Generally I response to WNT_6.2H_64, that:

First:

Problem and a fault is in Windows 10! and with Windows 10

based on: (now also days behind, i.e. will be very expensive software, if used hour money payment)

- Previously all USB ports been working properly, with Windows 7 and Windows 8

- CD / DVD optical (2 year old ASUS) has been working well

-- If any problem is seen, it is Microsoft drivers, old 2006 year or so, and windows will not let to change it what ever you do.

etc:

So question "WNT_6.2H_64" is unsolved.

So, Microsoft support help has not been able to assist at all, really so.

First:

Microsoft support, do not know or let a client to know, what is "WNT_6.2H_64". Microsoft Support goes in to inquiry, only in simple way and thinking; Client is beginner and using pc only as a beginner.

Secondly: Microsoft support is not in the level, what client is expecting (sorry boys and girls there)

1.

First, is referred to USB ports:  All works well and latest drivers in, so nothing to repair, complaining is a fault of Windows 10

2.

Secondly, even all drivers as new as Windows 10 (7 and 8) inform, false?

I note: Putting disk in CD/DVD optical driver (ASUS and 2 year NEW), it did´nt work with cd .rom.

So an other ASUS wrong driver, even DVD worked but not CD .rom.

3.

Where is a problem???

Microsoft support does not know what mean WNT_6.2H_64? Why?

4.

Did try to find out what ever??????? is on.

As someone was advising, check a latest motherboard bios driver from ASUS (heh, heh):

No, there is not support to Windows 10 in ASUS and was informing, hurry on and they do not know when support comes. As I see, fault is in Windows 10, not ASUS (as it is, Windows 10 should work with all pcs and softwares, what are in before letting WIN 10 to install itself)5.

In reason without any reason, I did update bios,, little bit newer bios repair, (as ASUS did issue).

Heh, heh, bios dating change AHCI to IDE and I return it back to AHCI (I have also SSD hard disks drives).

Story continues...

Windows 10 decided to install itself, again, by removing all installed softwares off, positively, it did record it and let me know what /he/she did.

So, I have a simple / basic version of Windows 10:

- All drivers works well, even all ASUS drivers, no problem.... but, but:

Now Corel´s well working and operating softwares with Windows 7 / 8 64, will not accept anymore Windows 10

(Corel photo / audio / video)

Heh, heh:

Softwares are installed and opened, but will nor allow to register them, letting / allowing to finish installation properly, so you are able to work with them as supposed to be.

Corel after trying "general" beginners response to client, finally issue,

YOU MUST buy new sotwares which are meant to Windows 10 purpose, the Corel softwares which worked well previously with Win 10 as well does not work anymore, after Windows 10 decided to re-install itself.

So, free Windows 10 is very expensive solution.

So, Windows 10 works well with ASUS drivers, after it itself re-installation

So, Windows 10 is not working well at all with previous installed software after its re-installing

So, Windows 10, ????? business is business, but client is in all ways put aside and as normal, seems so, must pay the costs.

Can or is Microsoft willing to be "aside" of client?????

They were ASUS drivers as you state.

and

You have know, latest chipset drivers were for Windows 8.

So, no help.

I decided, finally after few days work, to update bios, as there were newer one in informing something else but not my case, but

wanted to do something to delete Windows statement with 4 small openings,

after re installing a bios, "new" bios changed hard drives back to IDE (I used AHCI reason SSD harddrives),

I tested Windows 10, no change with comment, not supported by AsusSetUp WNT_6.2H_64; four small info windows files remain after loading a Windows 10:

So I went back to bios, changed IDE to AHCI;

and what happened.....

Windows 10 complained problems and wanted to correct itself, even I did not want to remove other installed softwares in my pc, Windows desided to re-install itself and removed all other programs away:

giving a list what was removed by/with self re-installing Windows 10.

Now, no complains about AsusSetUp does not support
WNT_6.2H_64. etc.

So, so Windows has a fault, not Asus,

Nothing hardware was changed, all hardware works well, only problem is now, to re-install all software's back (many, many) to use.

Problem was solved by itself a Windows 10.

p.s.

When updating BIOS (without no reason), I note;

DVD/CD Writer was not working with CD were BIOS rom was taken, I had to use same bios via pc and install an bios assistant to get it done etc....

DVD/CD Writer is 2 year old ASUS hardware (Green Line) and a driver of DVD/CD Writer is Windows driver as Windows installed it and did not want to change or update (2006 year) by no mean.

So...

Problem is caused by Windows 10.

as all drivers were well operating before and after Windows 10 self re-installing itself,

after that everything was good enough for Windows 10.
