Error Message-"Resource shortcuts are currently disabled"

I am trying to connect via citrix, I have the citrix client installed and I can get into Cweb (for work) but once I get to the list of applications and I click on an icon I receive the above message.

From the start menu search "change the file type associated with a file extension". Or from the control panel; Control Panel > Programs > Default Programs > Set Associations.

Highlight .ICA from the list of file types and click Change Program > More Options > Look for another App on this PC > navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\Receiver\Receiver.exe

You may also need to add the Website you are attempting to access the XenApp or XenDesktop from to trusted sites and compatibility mode. which can both be done from within Internet Explorer.

I have had this solution and seen that .ica files are associated with internet explorer. Change their association to Citrix Receiver.
