Unable to Install the KB2919355 Update

Hi Vijay B,

I have done everything as mentioned by you.I ran the windows update trouble shooter ,it shows -

1.problem installing recent update-NOT FIXED.

2.Check for missing or corrupt file-DETECTED. Now how to deal with it ?

I have done msconfig also.It shows the message that"WINDOWS RESOURCE PROTECTION FOUND CORRUPT FILES BUT WAS UNABLE TO FIX SOME OF THEM.DETAILS ARE INCLUDED IN THE CBS.log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log.Now what to do?

The DISM shows ERROR 87.How to deal with it?

Before that I have performed clean boot also,but the problem remains the same.

The latest update 2919355 is totally a failure.It is boring,time consuming and a headache updating every time.Why dont the MS offer a full update which include all the precluding updates in 2919355 as we have to install all the other updates like 291942,2919355,2932046,2937592,2938439 and 2949621.

When it uninstalls , it uninstalls full update history.

I am not getting any other updates since I am updating 2919355 which fails every time.I am not going to install it again as I have tried it several times.

Hope MS will look into the matter and come up with a solution.

Let’s stop the Windows Update services and clear the software distribution folder. Follow the steps provided below:

1. Press Windows and R keys together to open run.
2. Type “services.msc” and hit Enter.
3. Scroll down to the “Windows Update service” and “Background Intelligent Transfer service “and “Cryptographic”. Double click on each one of them.
4. Choose Stop as the service status of these services.
5. Navigate to the path-
6. C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\
7. Delete all the contents of the folder.
8. Now, follow the steps mentioned above and select “Start” for all these services.

Check if the issue still persists when you try to install the update.

Please let us know the status of this issue.

I tried everything available on MS site, but nothing worked for me. If MS has any solution then please do let me know. Otherwise, it seems that I have to redo OS. Thanks.

Dear Vijay,

I have tried this update more than 13 times, but failed in each attempt. The most frequent error which I receive each time is: 800F0923. However, in last few attempts, it seems that it has changed the error code. Now the error codes which I am getting are: 20200056
80200010; 800706BE; 80200010.

I don't know the significance of this update. If it's really crucial for my OS then I'll opt for redoing OS. Please advise accrodingly.  Thanks
