Image resizer for Windows 8?

Hello,

I am looking for a free image resizer for Windows 8.

I had Windows XP for years and they have a free image resizer Power Toy.

Is there something similar to XP's resizer Power Toy for Windows 8 (where I can right click the image in the folder and resize from there)?

Hi Sara,

You may search for a third party program using your favorite search engine and then check if it helps.

Why is MS forcing us to use a third party to edit digital photos in the most basic and necessary task of resizing photos?? It was the most used tool for me in Windows MS Photo Editor.

I need to install photo resizer for Windows 8.1 without being directed to a site that wants to sell me something I don't need nor trust. Will the resizer for Windows 7 work in 8 or the new 10? I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed so it has to be something I can understand and, or use. I'm starting to wish I hadn't bought a new computer because it only comes with 8 or 8.1. Disgusting....

I know this is old, but I dislike seeing old posts with answers that may not be 100%. You can leverage Photo Gallery which is part of Microsoft Essentials. Free to download. Basically open the folder select the files you want to resize right click and choose resize and your done.
