Broadband connection does not connect in the first attempt.

As i've updated my Windows 8 single language into Windows 8.1, I am facing this problem. Every time after starting my pc when I try to connect to the internet using my cable broadband connection, it fails to connect with error message "Error 651: The modem (or other connecting device) has reported an error."

 


But after second try it connects normally.


 

I faced this problem after updating Windows 8 to 8.1. In Windows 8, there is no such problem.

Expectations, these errors will be fixed soon. Thank you.

I have tried all of the above, even replaced my network adapter. I have also installed the latest drivers, but still the same.

Yes I've done all troubleshooting's as shown in the link but the problem still persists.

Same problem..

Using PPPoE First try always failing.

After that its fine but i hope it should be easy enough to fix

Sorry but thats a lame solution.

Im pretty sure thats the first thing that we did, even though we are talking about PPPoE connections and for example I don't even own a router. Its a cable directly from isp.

In windows 7 and windows 8 we had 3 option in Internet Option panel/Connection that was useful , they were if I remember correctly : "always dial my default connection" " dial whenever a network connection is not present" and "never dial my default connection" , but in windows 8.1 Microsoft has removed these options (since I have installed internet explorer 11 in my windows 7 I don't see these options in windows 7 too) , so I cannot fix my internet setting to connect automatically to internet at startup and have to connect manually , in windows 8.1 first I get error 651 and then when I try again can connect manually to internet , when we upgrade to a new windows we like to see new features and new easy way for things , but now in windows 8.1 we have these problems and Microsoft do nothing , that is so bad , I am disappointed.
