Unable to install an update to an Intel driver; Error: 1714 in Windows 7.

Trying to install an update to an Intel Driver, I get the Error 1714. Does anyone know a workaround for this??

From what I am able to gather from the web, the issue seems to be caused by Intel making the uninstallation of intel network connections, intel Pro set virtually impossible and they addressed the issue in this support article linked below.
