Media streaming option is missing please help

hi my name is kevin

After updating my Windows 10 to  the latest build my build is 1709

i couldn't find the media streaming option in network and sharing please help

Hello Kevin,

It is possible that your Media Feature was disabled, hence the missing option for streaming.

Here's how you can check:

Control Panel > click on Programs > Program and Features > Turn Windows features on or off (Located in the left pane of the window.) > Media Features (Make sure the check box for Media Feature is ticked.) > OK

its already enabled

Hi Kevin,

There's another way on how you can turn on the Media Streaming option in your Windows 10 device. Here's how:

  1. Launch Windows Media Player.
  2. Click on Stream and choose Turn on media streaming.
  3. A new window will pop up. Click on the Turn on media streaming button.

If the option is still not available, we suggest creating a new user profile with administrator privileges to check if the option will appear.

Once you have verified that the option is available in the newly created user profile, you can transfer your data from the old user account to the newly created one.
