Cannot access C drive !?!

I start my system and I click on Computer Local Disk (C:) and I get and error message saying that "C:/ is not accessible".  I can start my system access the desktop and library folders by navigating the folder icon in the tool bar but I cannot access the C drive or change my permissions nor manage the drives or recover in anyway.

I did it. Hum that was interesting. That microsoft fix is only for Vista.

Through MMC I was able to access the group policy object and enable the Administrator account (which did not help but now is available) and also set the privileges for accessing the drives to everyone.  Once I did that I was able to get to the security tab on the C drive and it reset the security privileges to the C and all the files.
