After i did a new install of Windows 24h2 i cannot play my games i constantly get directx error What can i do

I think the display driver might be incompatible with 24H2.

Please see the Display driver troubleshooting below:


Option 1: Try Rolling back the Display driver.

Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
Navigate to Display devices and expand it. Right-click your Display adapter.

Choose Properties.

On the Driver tab, click the Rollback Driver button to go back to the previous version.



Option 2. Remove the Display drivers completely and Install the newest copy of the driver, available from the OEM or the GPU maker. The steps for it are here:

Eventually, after Windows restarts, check for Windows updates, or download the display driver from the computer manufacturer:

i have the same issue in call of dutty " call of duty directx error game_ship.exe" last nvidia driver etc but not working anymore .I have done all fix but not working .

I already did everything you just said removed with DDU installed latest nvidia drivers Its really the 24h2 problem...

And now when you want to download windows 11 you can only download 24h2 no 23h2..... from microsoft website thats not good at all....

I encountered the same issue.

Reinstalled direct-x

Rolled back display drivers

Tried Studio drivers

Tried the update to 24H2 as well as a fresh install of windows with no luck. Went back to 23h2 until a fix is found.

Well, I'm not the only one with the same problem anymore. And this is ONLY for call of duty HQ. Updated nvidia geforce 1070 MSI driver...

I had the same issue. Even after a wipe and reload of 24H2 from the iso. Worst fire me is that I then recieved a notice that my activision account was permanently banned for violating their terms of use. Fresh install of the OS, Nvidia drivers, steam, Mw3, and my headphone app (Turtle Beach). I should have rolled back to 23h2 earlier before my account was banned.

Same thing for me with the Vanguard games... Activation idiots. And Activision is doing absolutely nothing to remedy the problem.

Also got banned from all call of duty games by Activision shortly after installing 24h2.

They would not listen to a word.

MS may want to have a word with them and get them to acknowledge windows 11 24H2 is NOT unauthorised software...

I wonder if Recall is the bit wrongly flagged as suspicious by Activision

any solution yet? same I upgraded to 24h2 and now this happens no solution what so ever hahahaha I did everything and still having directx error!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
