Trying to manually update to Win10 May 2020 - 2004 build. Currently at 1909, regular 'Check for updates' does not detect anything needed. Looking at the update log (Get-WindowsUpdateLog) - it always ends with  > 2020/06/12 11:35:33.8074436 14224 9372  Shared          * END * Service exit Exit code = 0x240001 Yet the updater will remain open for hours with no progress. I have been having this issue with Windows 10 64 bit where it won't shut down. I read online some other posts where it talks about rolling back the driver. Can I just disable it altogether?  What's the solution for my problem. I've tried disabling fast startup on both the OS and the BIOS. Also tried turning off the Ethernet network controller power management (wake on LAN) and other settings as well.  Is there a definite Microsoft update or some other fix for this issue? Thanks for a

Pressing the restart button just leads to an error that leads to nothing. I don't have any 3rd party antivirus software either

Hi, I recently restart my laptop and after that, I saw a red cross on my audio sign. I run the troubleshooting. It says one or more audio services isn't running. Then I go to the services. I saw windows audio  endpoint builder is running. But the window audio is not running. I try to start it. But I got "windows could not start the windows audio service on local computer. Error 0x80070005: Access is denied." What I have tried: 1. update the audio driver. 2. uninstall and install the au

I was trying to find out how to get my lockscreen to display on both of my monitors rather than just one and I stumbled upon this thread from 6 months ago. In the thread it's mentioned that the request for two+ monitor lock screens to be reinstated was passed along to the team. I was wondering if there's been any update on the progress of this? It may sound like a small problem to have but it makes me sad that Windows 10 took away a feature that I really loved for (seemingly) no reason at al

Hello All, In Windows 7 Home, my folders would remember view settings. Some folders were always sorted by file name. And other folders were always sorted by date modified. After upgrading to Windows 10, changing the sort affects all folders opened after that. In the forums, I see the question about Windows 7, and people say there was no such option. But the behavior absolutely existed in Windows 7 and disappeared in Windows 10.

On Windows Phone 8.1, a pop-up appeared saying that I “haven’t backed up in a while”.  I followed the pop-up and hit “Backup Now”, but received the following error:  “We can’t connect to OneDrive to back up.  Update your phone and try again.” I also receive the error when going to Settings > Backup, and selecting "Backup now" or checking on my backup status. Updating the phone and trying again results in the same error message.

Hi I am using Windows Live Mail 2012 on a Windows 7 machine for Email and Hotmail Calendar. I have some calendars which i have added myself and colour coded and an imported calendar within the Calendar. For years this has worked well but today several issues have occurred. 1) All the calendars within Windows Live Mail Calendar have turned to the same colour (pink) so i cannot see which Event belongs to which calendar. 2) Some calendars have duplicated themselves in the tick list of c
