How to turn off or lengthen time for auto saving draft

I have since been forced to be upgraded automnatically to Outlook.com from Hotmail. The auto saving of draft emails while typing is very very annoying as it is occuring every 30 secs or so which freezes everything when I am typing an email. How do I turn it off or how do I change the auto saving time? Please don't tell me you don't have this function.

I have the same problem - when I'm typing an email it freezes about once a minute while it saves the draft and it's very annoying.

Also, it takes way too long to save the draft, even on a fast connection.

I'm using IE 9.

I have just tested it on my home computer and the problem is not happening - either with IE or Firefox.

I will test again the work PC tomorrow.

Happens very frequently since "upgrade" to Outlook along with annoying ads, especially could not turn off Bing - so changed to Firefox browser and installed Jacob's add-on, no more ads.  The auto save feature needs a control (enable/disable) and a time setting - perhaps a email change is in order as well - come on get 'er done!

NEEDS FIXING!! Frequent auto saving of draft emails while typing occuring every 15 secs or so which freezes everything when I am typing an email.  Although I like the feature of saving email along the way, I am not a fan of the high frequency rate of seconds that it does this.  It is taking me literally 3X longer to type an email out w/ this annoying feature.  Either provide an abilility to stipulate the frequency of time and or make it every 2 or 3 minutes vs seconds.
