Duplicated sent messages using Apple Mail.app

Hello,

I have set up an IMAP Outlook account with a custom domain on Apple Mail.app. Everything works well so far, but when I send an email, two identical copies of the same email are stored in the Sent folder (but one copy is sent to the recipient). In Mail.app I have tried turning off the option to save the sent items on the server, but it keeps turning on back itself.

Does anyone have idea how to solve this? I tried turning off “Saving sent messages” under Outlook.com Settings, but without luck.

You mention that you've already turn off the “Saving sent messages” option in Outlook.com and also tried to turn off the option to save the sent items on the server in your Mac mail. Do you tried to turn off the option in your Mac mail and in Outlook.com at the same time? If not, try to do so.

 

In addition, you can also try to remove your account in your Mac mail and then re-configure it again to refresh the connection of your account to Outlook.com server.

 

If the issue still persists, don't hesitate to inform us and we'll be happy to further assist you.

Hello,

I have tried turning off the “Saving sent messages” and the option to save the sent messages on the server in Mail.app, at the same time, but it still turns back on itself.

I re-configured the account on Mac Mail.app, but nothing changed. I still get duplicate messages in Sent folder.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Gjorgji,

 

Our Support Specialist would like to verify the email account you provided if it is the correct one since it is from a custom domain. Upon investigation, the domain as well as the email account has an Invalid MX record and disabled email.

 

Please post the correct email account in the private message area I have for you. Do not forget to sign in using a Microsoft account.

I,have exactly the same problem too, i'n now looking for over 2 months for help in the ms forum. i always get the same stupid answer "you got a private message". And in the private message "please got to this forum and ask there". They don't know anything. Also they do NOT want to help anyway. I'am still waiting, unfortunately and get ridiculous...
