Word only corrects spelling with one language at the time

Hello, when I installed office for the first time English was the default langauge then I installed the swedish too, however I noticed that it would only correct my swedish so I uninstalled it and set english to be default again, but it still only corrects my swedish, not my english.

Whats the deal?

When you change the default language, it applies to subsequent documents that you create. Existing documents are not affected.

What you should do is set the default to whichever language you use the most, and then manually apply other languages to text paragraphs when necessary.

To add to Stefan's good advice, you need to understand that language formatting works in the fashion of character formatting like Bold or Italics. You can add it to a character or a paragraph Style to be able to easily switch.
