Double-clicking no longer takes me to/from endnotes

my problem is this doesn't happen anymore--doubleclicking no longer takes me to/from endnotes. help?

Double-clicking the reference mark certainly works here. If I double-click the number in the text, the insertion pont moves to the corresponding note in the endnotea area (and vice versa). Are you sure these are actual endnotes?
