Office 2007 32 Bit slow down Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit start up

Hello,

I have Toshiba Lap runs Windows 7 64 bit Home Preium edition with 4GB Ram and 500 GB HDD. It ran pretty fast until I installed Office 2007 32 bit. It run very slow once it's started up. I will have to wait for at least 2 minutes in order for me to open IE 8.0. All softwares are update as Microsoft released. Any suggestion to optimize Windows 7 startup processing. Is it a big mistake to run Office 2007 32 bit on Windows 7 64 bit OS?

Note: I don't have much ____ loaded on the machine. Just Office 2007, Symantec end point protection 11 for anti-virus and spyware cole (NO FW, etc.) and adobe acrobat 9.0 and that's all.
