The module "msstdfmt.dll" was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x8002801c.For more information about this problem, search online using the error code as a search term.

I got this Run-time error '713': Class not registered. You need the following file to be installed on your machine.MISSTDFMT.DLL

Then try to registered using cmd , then got this error "The module "msstdfmt.dll" was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x8002801c.For more information about this problem, search online using the error code as a search term." Please help. thanks.

After downloading MSSTDFMT.DLL, save it in C:\Windows\sysWOW64 folder. Stay in sysWoW64 foder and locate the file cmd.exe. Right click cmd.exe and click on "Run as administrator." The black command screen appeares with

C:\Windows\system32>

Type in Regsvr32 C:\Windows\SysWOW64\MSSTDFMT.DLL

Now on the command screen entry you have:

C:\Windows\system32>Regsvr32 C:\Windows\SysWOW64\MSSTDFMT.DLL

Press "Enter"

This process finally worked for me after trying everything I found in help files that did not work.

Good luck to all of you who are struggling with the error code 0x8002801c.

It worked on Win7 32 bits too, locate the CMD.exe and run as administrator. Just type "regsvr32 msstdfmt.dll"
