Is it really not possible to paste plain text in Word for iPad?
The headline says it all - is it true that there is no way to paste from the clipboard in the Word for iPad app as "Plain text", i.e., *not* pasting the formatting?
Yes, this is possible, though perhaps not following quite the same pattern you might be used to in the desktop software.
Just like other iOS apps, Paste is achieved through a pop up menu, when you "long press" in the location where you want to paste. After you choose Paste from the menu, at the end of the text pasted, you'll notice an Paste Options icon appears. If you tap
that icon, it lets you change the paste Options:
Keep Source Formatting
Match Destination Formatting
Keep Text Only
