Changing the author name of comments while reviewing

While revieweimg a documen in Word, the aithor name of my comment/corrections is identified by my full name which is too long.mHow do I chNge it to a short name?

Modify the User name in Word under Options>General

Thank you Mr Robbins,

the facility which you have kindly suggested is available in the Window's version of Word, but not in the iPad version. Is there a way to alter/modify the user name in the iPad version of Word?

Hi Rang

I am guessing here, which I shouldn't. So tell me if I am wrong.

Assuming you are using Office 365, first make sure, under Word's Options--General, that the setting Always use these values regardless of Sign in to Office is on (it's the same place Doug pointed you to set the user name).

I am not certain whether that will trickle through to the iPad, but you can try. You might have to sign out and sign in.

If that doesn't work, I have made a set of tools (For the Desktop Word) available that allows you (amongst others) to modify the comment author name afterwards: http://insight.trueinsight.za.com/word/word-utilities
