[SOLVED] Word stops responding when a new author is added

Word stops responding when a new autor is added to the existing ones.

Could someone from the Office team have a look at that?

Are you trying to add authors from system domain?

Does the issue occur with a specific document or with all Word documents?

Try to add an author who is not in the address book and check if it works fine as expected.

Is your computer connected to a network or domain?

Does the same issue occur if you try changing the author name on a different computer?

Are you referring to the Add an author command at File tab | Info? Does the problem occur with a particular document, only, or can you reproduce it with any document on your system?

Have you tried repairing the document or the Office installation?

Yes I mean Add an author.

it happens with all the documents I've tried it with. And it is annoying as when Word comes up again it confonts me two versions, where I'm rather clueless which one to take.

I'm glad it's now working for you.

Perhaps you have recently updated Office or repaired the installation? The reason I ask is that I was unable to reproduce the problem on my system.
