Time difference between actual time and a saved document

The properties of a document in Excel of Word displays a different time (7 hours) than the actual time it was saved.  How do I fix it?  The computer displays the correct time.  Example - I just edited a Word document at 7:09 am, the properties displays a date modified time of 2:09 pm.
Hello Bill,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Office Community.

Please provide more information to help you better:

1) Where are the Excel and Word documents saved? Is it on local drive or on shared/network location?

2) Does this issue occur for all the files saved on your computer?

Let's create a test document, save it on the desktop and verify the result.

I look forward to your reply to assist you further.

Thank you.

I am using Ofice 365 and the files automatically saved to onedrive.

I created a new doc in Word and onedrive showed the date modified as 7 hours in the future.  I downloaded it to my computer and it displayed the correct time.  Strange.  The docs on the onedrive are where I store the files with Office 365.  Why the difference?

Hello Bill,

Thank you for replying.

The time difference could be due to time zone settings.

Which time zone do you follow?

My time zone is set for Arizona with no daylight savings.  My computer clock displays the correct time and date.  I tried to find if there were clock settings in Office 365 but could not locate any.  Seven hours difference is significant but even one hour shouldn't happen.

Thanx for your work on this.  It is appreciated.

Is there a difference if you save the document to the local drive?

What kind of answer is that?  Does that mean you don't have a clue on how to solve the problem?
