Step 1:
Restart the computer and then try performing a repair of Office installation. Refer to the following link for more information on how to repair

Step 2:
Stop and start or restart
Microsoft Office Service following below mentioned instructions and verify
the result:
1. Hold
Windows key +R.
Copy and paste, or type the following command in the Open box, and then press Enter:
services.msc
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click Continue.
2. In the Services list, double-click Microsoft Office Service.
3. In the Windows Installer Properties dialog box, click Automatic
in the Startup type list.
4. Click Start, click Apply, and then click OK.
Step 3:
Run the
Fix it from the following article to remove all traces of the new Office on the system.

Once the Fix it completes then may you install Office 365/2013 and verify the results.
