Office 365/Word 2013 Enter Key Setting

I just upgraded to Office 365 from Office Starter 2010.  Previously, when using the Enter key with Word I was able to adjust the setting for single space between the lines.  The Enter Key default setting with Word that is included with Office 365 is double space.  How to I reset this to single space?
In the Home tab > Paragraph group >  click on the "Line and Paragraph Spacing" button > select Line Spacing Options command. In the Paragraph dialog, select "Line Spacing" "Single", then click on "Set as Default" button.

That is supposed to work, sometimes it doesn't. Let us know so we can give you the alternate technique, "updating in NORMAL.DOTM"

Actually, I just thought of another approach.  Locate your NORMAL.DOTM for both Starter and Word 2013.  Rename the 2013 NORMAL.DOTM file (to anything else, ie "NORMAL.DOTM.BAK1" then copy the 2010 NORMAL.DOTM to the same location.  2013 will then pick up many of the 2010 settings you have defined.

so you’d think we’d be able to communicate quite well with people.
