Office 365 Word unstable

Hello

I have a problem using Word, the cursor shows as a circle (like a 'wait' symbol) and continuously flashes, sometimes over where the typing point is, it makes it almost impossible to use and this could be a big problem as I bought this la[top and Windows 8.1 specifically for a project writing a book for the big screen.

Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Hi Mary,

 

Let is try the following methods and check if it helps resolve the issue.

 

Method 1:

 

Start Word in application safe and verify the results.

To do that, close Word.

Go to Start, click on All Programs and Accessories and then Run.

In the open box type in ‘WinWord /safe’ and hit ok.

(Note: There is a space between WinWord and /).

 

If application safe works try the following article and check:

Method 2:

 

Change the default printer to Microsoft XPS or Microsoft OneNote 2010 and then check. If changing the default printer works, then you may update the drivers for the problem printer.
