Microsoft Word 365

I  opted to take a trial of the Word 365 for a certain amount of time. That time has ended and now I am left with no Word at all. Is it either sign up for subscription  or go without any Word? During the free trial Word 365 was always closing, forcing me to start over again and again. Can I have my old Word back or do I have to subscribe to this new stuff?

What was your old version of Office?  If you remove the Office 365 trial as detailed in the article at:

 

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501

and then try repairing your original Office installation as detailed in the Knowledge Base article at:

 

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/repair-or-remove-office-2010-HA010357402.aspx

 

If that is not possible, you may need to re-install your previous version from the CD\DVD media.
