Microsoft office not working

Microsoft office will not open any of the office programs. It always says it ran into a problem and gives no details of what the problem is.
I have Microsoft office home version.

It appears that there may be some hardware incompatibilities as well.

From the File tab, select Options and then click on Advanced and then in the Display section of the dialog, check the box for Disable hardware graphics acceleration

For the error message "There was a problem sending the command to the program", use Windows Explorer to access the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15 folder and right click on WINWORD.EXE then on Properties, go to the Compatibility tab and uncheck all the boxes.

It has been reported that uninstalling FastPictureView and FastPictureViewer Pro… overcomes the issue of the Minimize, Maximize, Close and Help buttons not being visible in Office 2013.

Says Microsoft
Word has stopped working.  Nothing more happens.  Do I need to reinstall and will I still have my files?

See the Article “Why do I get a "stopped working message when I start my Office application at:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/support/why-cant-i-start-my-office-2013-application-HA104011864.aspx

Or

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3091375.

If that does not help, then you might remove all traces of the Office installation by downloading the fixit from the following article:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501

saving it to your computer and then running it.

Then reinstall Office by logging into
www.office.com/myaccountwith your registered email address and click Install Office.

BEFORE REMOVING THE OFFICE INSTALLATION,  MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO LOG INTO YOUR ACCOUNT AND THAT OFFICE IS ASSOCIATED WITH IT!

If you actually have Office (locally installed) rather than the subscription version provided through Office 365, then you can't get Office through your Microsoft Account. Instead, see

https://products.office.com/en-us/download-back-up-restore-microsoft-office-products

Following the above should NOT cause the files that you have created to be deleted from your computer.  HOWEVER, it is prudent to regularly back up your data files, especially BEFORE making any changed to your computer.

I have upgraded from Windows 7 to 10. I was told that Office 365 containing Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel and One Note were included with the software. I see the Office 365 icon, but when I left click it, nothing happens. What is going on?

Office is never included with Windows, except possibly as a trial version.

Unless the computer manufacturer has added Office for you, you will have to purchase it separately.

Office 365 is a separate application that runs under either Windows 7 or Windows 10, but it is not included with either, or any version of Windows.  What version of Office did you have on the computer before upgrading to Windows 10?

Microsoft Word not working.  Error message indicating that Microsoft will look for solution but none as yet communicated to me. I left a phone number for someone at Microsoft to call me.  But no one called.

What is the exact error message?

Have you tried starting an Office repair from Control Panel? See https://support.office.com/en-us/article/repair-an-office-application-7821d4b6-7c1d-4205-aa0e-a6b40c5bb88b.
