Microsoft 365 Can't Connect to Account

Okay, I have had Microsoft Office 365 downloaded to my computer for almost two years now. Recently, if I open Word and start to work after a minute it tries to  "connect to my account" but it not able to. Eventually it says that Microsoft Word is not responding and I have to go into task manager just to close the program. Why is it doing this and what can I do to fix it?

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Office Word Community.

I would like to know if the issue occurs only with Word or with all Office applications.

Log out of all Microsoft Accounts on the computer then let us try to remove the Windows credentials then try to sign in within Office 365 applications and verify the status.

1. Go to Start -> type Control Panel in search bar.

2. Go to User Accounts and Family Safety -> Click on User Accounts.

3. In the left pane, click Manage your credentials.

4. Now look for the live account ID and password (Microsoft Account) in the credential manager and remove it and restart the computer.
