Where did all the Symbols go?

I opened Microsoft word today and the symbol library seems a lot smaller. Lots of the symbols I usually use are missing. (Ex. Infinity and all Greek Letters)

Am I missing some key info? This is makes it difficult to finish what i'm working on, can someone help me?

The set of symbols depends on two factors:

  • The font you're using - some fonts contain more symbols than others.
  • The "from" setting:

If you select ASCII (decimal) or ASCII (hex), only a limited set of characters will be available. To see all characters, select Unicode (hex).
