Turabian Style 8th Edition

I am in need of the Turabian 8th edition. The 2013 version of Word has the 6th edition loaded. I have looked at numerous postings on this issue and have found many templates but not a stylesheet that I can replace the existing version with. I am not able to write the code for the stylesheet. I am looking for this for someone who is not tech savvy. They just want to select the correct style within a dropdown box in Word and write their paper.

Your help is much appreciated.

No this thread has not helped. I've read it multiple times and gone to all the links that I could find from it. The eTurabian site that it lists is a set of resources and an on-line bibliography generator but does not post a .xsl doc or a place to find one.

Hi,

Thank you for replying.

Since you need assistance in creating a code for XML stylesheet, you may also post your query in the Word IT Pro forum for better suggestions.

Hi ...Is there any solution to this? Seems really silly a behemoth like Microsoft has no way of incorporating a key reference tool??

Sorry to say but this is an ongoing issue.  Many people have asked for other styles. MS has never created requested styles in a timely fashion.  They may, but probably won't, include newer version of some of the supported styles, in the next version, if it's not in Office 2016 that would be Office 2020 or whatever.

Your options are:

  • do it yourself,
  • find someone who can do the XML programming for you
  • keep searching the web until someone else does it and posts it for free or for sale

I sympathize.  I believe that Microsoft should update to the latest style Version 8 of Turabian too.  I find their lack of support in here to your question deplorable.
