Query regarding a start up error in MS Excel and MS Word 2013

While i'm starting the 'Microsoft Office Word and Excel' in my Windows 8.1 With HP notebook system , facing an error window every time. The error or notifying window showing like :  "  There was a problem sending the command to the program."   How to get rid of this problem
For the error message "There was a problem sending the command to the program", use Windows Explorer to access the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15 folder and right click on WINWORD.EXE then on Properties, go to the Compatibility tab and uncheck all the boxes.  It has also been reported that the problem can be overcome by editing the registry at HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Word.Document.12\shell\Open and deleting the ddeexec key.

The ddeexec can also be deleted from

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Word.DocumentMacroEnabled.12\shell\Open.

Thank You Aravinda Balakrishna for the info you provided. It solved only my MS Excel error very well, but MS Word still showing same error.

Thanks for the information sir , but i'm not able to get that directory files in my system after opening Office15 folder. It is showing WINWORD but the properties you mentioned are different from what i'm seeing in my system.

As am not that much aware of functions of directories i didn't get cleared about  " registry at HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Word.Document.12\shell\Open and deleting the ddeexec key" - this one ( means how to perform this operation ?).
