Office 2013 won't open files

Start the application and use File>Open and then navigate to the file that you want to open.

Our office is having the same problem with several brand new desktops running Windows 7 Pro and the Office 2013 programs.  

I believe you may have misunderstood meuter's question.  If his problem is like ours, the applications launch, but seem to stall and never displays the content of the Word file.

Please help.
