MS office takes too long to open large documents

Hello,

I am using Word 2013. Every time I open any document, the start window shows "Word is finishing analyzing your document" and then it takes several minutes before finally opening up the document. The time varies with the size of the document, as for example it takes 5 to 6 minutes before opening up a 6MB file.

Please help as this is very frustrating.

6MB is large, but not "huge". I work daily with Word files several times that size and they do not take that long to load on my "old" "Vista class" laptop.

Since you have identified that addons are your problem by starting Word in Safe Mode, you now have to disable the addons to figure out which one is the problem.  Here are some links that describe how to turn off Addons

From where are you opening the file?  Is it from OneDrive or from the local drive?
