microsoft word not opening due to error.

hi, i need a solution pronto, iust recently bought the Microsoft office 2013 student, it ceased to work the word was first and now excel,i have  tried to  repair , uninstalled it reinstalled it using the fixit tool, i ran the quick repair, evrytime i try to open it it says it must close as an error is preventing it, my pc is fully protected from  viruses and stuff. i need to solve this

This issue might be due to the old add-ins installed in the computer.

The exact error message is "we are sorry but word has run in a problem that is preventing it  from opening correctly, word will need to be closed as a result."

and then i get quick  repair or online repair.which ive tried and does not work, now i tried to open in safe mode and the suggested help from links does not work.

What happens when you start Word in Safe mode? Does it crash with the same error message?

Hi,

 

I cannot access any MS documents ( Word, excel, powerpoint). The error message is below.

 

Even when I try to repair I get error message below after I click on change

 

'Something went wrong'

 

'sorry we ran into a problem'

 

'Try going onlinr for additional help'

 

Please assist urgently

But does that mean that Safe mode isn't working either? If you hold the Ctrl key as you start Word (for example by clicking your usual shortcut), and click yes when asked about Safe mode, then what happens?

It does not ask me for safe mode.

 

I pressed the control key and clicked on word shortcut, It did not ask for a safe mode.

 

The same error response popped up

If you try the following instead, then what happens? Hold the Windows logo key as you press R; in the Run dialog box, type winword /safe and press Enter (note the space before the slash).

I had the same problem. It worked when I held the Alt key as I clicked the Word shortcut. Afterwards I can open both Word, Excel and PowerPoint normally again.
