Macrobutton Windows 8.1 touchscreen

Dell Venue 8 Pro tablet with W8.1 and Word 2013. I cannot get macrobutton to run a macro by finger tapping or with standard stylus. Finger tap and standard stylus DO work on the ribbon and other tablet features. I have a Dell active (hover) stylus and it will activate the macrobutton with a tap. I have set the macrobutton to work with 1 or 2 taps and result is same. Is there a way to get the macrobutton to work with a finger tap or standard stylus? Thank you.

Check if you are able to get it to work with Excel 2013 ?

Created Excel macro enabled workbook and template on desktop 2010 Office. Transferred to tablet with 2013 Office. Also resaved to 2013 format.
Legacy button controlled macro - works 1 finger tap or stylus tap
Active X button - works 1 finger tap or stylus tap.
I cannot find how to insert a macrobutton field in Excel

Retested my Word document but added Legacy button and Active X button.
Legacy button - single finger tap or stylus tap works
Active X button - single finger tap or stylus tap works
macrobutton field - stylus works double tap. Finger tap does not work.
Used VBA to set button clicks to 1 - Stylus works 1 tap. Finger tap does not work.

Tested Word in 2003 an 2010 templates. Both work the same.

Conclusion thus far - macrobutton will not work with a finger tap.

I tried to use command buttons but cannot determine how to reuse the same button over and over within the same Word document. My project is getting my Word macros to work with a finger tap on a tablet. Thanks.

Trying to keep this post alive. Does anyone have a tablet that will run a Word macrobutton with a fingertap?

Update

Dell Venue 8 tablet will run Word macrobutton with active stylus but not a finger tap. after one year of messing with it I bought a Winbook 7 tablet. Activated Word. It will not run a macrobutton with a finger tap or stylus. I have security turned off. Does anyone know why it will not work.

Macrobuttons work OK here on a Samsung Slate with a finger tap, regardless of whether in Mouse Mode or touch mode.

Are you double tapping?

You might try running a macro with the following code

Options.ButtonFieldClicks = 1

as a result of which a single tap is all that would be required.   To have that option always in effect, put that command in an Autoexec macro in the Normal.dotm template.

Hope this helps,
