Is there such a thing as a content control for a blank line?
If I want a template I'm creating to include a blank line between other content controls and I don't want the user to accidentally delete that blank line, does that require some sort of content control within the blank line? If so, what do I do? Thanks

Assuming that each content control is in its own paragraph, you can make use of Spacing Before or Spacing After formatting (on the Page Layout tab of the ribbon, look in the Paragraph group).
