How to link a word in one Word document to a paragraph in another

I have two Word docx. One docx is the primary and has informational content, the secondary docx serves as a glossary.

I need to link one word in the primary Word docx to a paragraph in the glossary docx.

How do I do that?

Thanks

Answer
Answer

Identify the paragraph in the glossary document by selecting it and inserting a bookmark.  Then in the primary document, click on Hyperlink in the Links section of the Insert tab of the ribbon and then navigate to the glossary document and select it, and then click on the Bookmark button in the Insert Hyperlink dialog and then in the Select Place in Document dialog that appears, select the bookmark and click on OK.  Then replace what you see in the Text to display control in the Insert Hyperlink dialog with the word that you want in the primary document.

Hope this helps,
